Vibroacoustic therapy has come a long way! The practice of applying vibration to the body for healing began in the 1980s. Olaf Skill a researcher from Norway began to realize how effective applying sound to the body could be. Since then, the results have been IMPACTFUL!
Vibroacoustic therapy positively impacted pain, stress levels, heart rate
Many studies have shown the various ways vibroacoustic therapy has helped patients from decreasing pain, improving cell healing response and recovering from an injury.
How it works is from the vibrations that move through your soft tissues, deep enough to penetrate cartilage and bone tissue. Begins at the surface, with the skin. The vibrations stimulate receptors under our skin which inhibit nerve fibers. Vibration inhibits the message of pain, bringing pain relieving qualities by reducing the perception of pain.
